Freedom. The Merica Type 🇺🇸

Freedom. The Merica Type 🇺🇸

You come home, make some tea, sit down in your armchair, and all around there’s silence. Everyone decides for themselves whether that’s loneliness, or freedom.

This is me in the great NATION of Texas. Enjoying my morning coffee in the sun on my rocking chair. Loneliness? No…. Freedom?? ABSOLUTELY! 🇺🇸

Freedom comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. It comes from our military and war. It comes from forgiveness and letting go. It comes from being born new again in Jesus Christ. It can come from silence, or from being surrounded by people. It can come from feeling at peace while sitting in nature, or from getting your adrenaline going on a roller coaster. It can come from being proud to live in a country that’s so patriotic and bad ass too! Freedom comes from choice.

And personally I believe my freedom lies within the sufficient grace provided to me from my lord and savior and BEST FRIEND, Jesus Christ. I believe that is what sets me free on the inside, and allows for me to handle what I’m given in the physical world with a grateful and positive mindset.

I believe my freedom also lies in our military, the wars fought, and the American Flag! In the great words of Johnny Cash, “So we raise her up every morning, we take her down every night. We don’t let her touch the ground and we fold her up right. On second thought I do like to brag, cause I’m mighty proud of that ragged old flag. We as a nation have received so many things we are able to enjoy and prosper because of what our flag stands for and represents. I’m blessed I am able to live in a country where I can CHOOSE. And it is a PRIVILEGE & not a right because there has been blood shed for the life we as Americans get the opportunity to live.

I have gone through many seasons of loneliness, but I still knew I was free. I didn’t feel alone, because deep down I still had a sense of freedom. Like how lucky am I to be able to go through these trials solo, and still have the ability to think and choose for myself and that get to decide the outcome. Now that my friends is freedom!! To know you’re still alive and walking on this planet for a reason makes those seasons of loneliness not bitter, but better. Better because you have the choice to come out of it stronger; the choice to make a difference; and the choice to use that period as a testimony to inspire others.

We all have a sense of freedom in our lives, and that freedom gives us our purpose. Use that freedom to make yourself the most bad ass version of yourself that you can, because you HAVE THE CHOICE TOO. No matter the trials and tribulations we face as a nation, we are still FREE. So recognize that and go do some bad ass sh*t!!!!
